How Keep Indianapolis Beautiful helps these trees thrive.
We pick the right tree for each location. Using native trees, which are most likely to flourish in our city, our team selects tree varieties that fit the space and conditions available on your street. Native trees are easy to maintain and less likely to encounter problems, making them affordable and healthy. 

We promise to help these trees get a healthy start. We will water, mulch, and prune the trees for three years. Then, the City of Indianapolis maintains trees in the right of way for the long term. You can help the trees have long, healthy lives by being careful not to nick them with string trimmers or mowers.

Why does Keep Indianapolis Beautiful plant in these locations?

We work with the City of Indianapolis to plant trees in the public right-of-way, including the space in front of your home. The right-of-way is typically the space between the sidewalk and street. On streets without sidewalks, the right-of-way includes the ten feet in from the street.
