Vice President of Native Landscapes
The Vice President of Native Landscapes plans, directs, and oversees operations activities for the Department of Native Landscapes (DNL) which includes GreenSpace, Community Forestry, and Urban Ecology/Youth Employment. This is a senior level employee who actively contributes to strategy and decision-making for the organization. This position is responsible for implementing efficient operations to meet current and future needs of KIB. This role contributes to our mission of a cleaner, greener, and more environmentally equitable city through strategic goal setting, leadership, and subject matter expertise in the areas of habitat management, urban forestry, and placemaking.

Neighborhood Engagement Program Manager
As Neighborhood Engagement Program Manager, you will work closely with the Director of the Community Engagement Department (CE) to develop a strategy for outreach, with a focus on external facing efforts within and beyond KIB programming. You will respond to the needs and goals of individuals and neighborhood groups, as well as ensure KIB’s programmatic goals are met. You will manage KIB’s community-facing initiatives, with support from the Community Engagement team, to further access resources in low-income and majority minority neighborhoods.

Urban Naturalists
The Urban Naturalist program works to naturalize, preserve, and maintain the urban ecosystems in Indianapolis. We seek individuals who promote professionalism, are interested in gaining hands-on horticultural and arboricultural training, learning personal and environmental responsibility, and who are happy working in a team of college students.

Youth Tree Team
The Youth Tree Team helps our city’s trees grow! YTT is a seven-week, summer job for high school students and college-age leaders who are interested in improving their community through tree care and gaining leadership experience. The work season runs June through July.
