KIB Special Delivery: TREES

Meet up at KIB to help the KIB Community Forestry team deliver dozens of trees in advance of this year’s Indy Do Day projects — transportation provided. This planting will involve 1,000 trees at the Brookville Road and Shadeland interchange on Indy’s east side. The trees will provide significant refuge for native wildlife and help mitigate stormwater runoff, while making the interchange a lush, natural “no mow” landscape. Riverside Neighborhood Cleanup

Please join area residents, the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services with the City of Indianapolis, and KIB in confronting illegal dumping hotspots in the Riverside community. Run(317) Volunteer Support

Over one thousand RUN(317) participants will take to the streets of Fountain Square this fall to run 3.17 miles in celebration of everything 317! Local nonprofits, including KIB will benefit from this race. Volunteer time slots offer varied hours, with 2-4 hour opportunities, role dependent. Whitehall Commons Tree Planting

  Help KIB and Whitehall Commons neighbors on Indy’s northwest side return their sparse tree canopy to a flourishing one, adding to our city’s overall tree coverage.
