LEGACY TREE
Donate a Legacy Tree in honor of a loved one.
A Legacy Tree is a great way to honor or remember a friend or family member. It's the perfect gift for someone who cares about their city and wants to see it flourish! Trees are a growing and living symbol of how much you care.
A gift of any amount will contribute towards our tree planting program, NeighborWoods. Once a donation is made, the recipient will receive a certificate of notification. Your gift to the Legacy Tree program is important to growing our city’s community forest. A gift will support one large, Indiana native tree to be planted in spring or fall, during one of our regularly-scheduled tree planting projects. The community forest is all around us, in our yards and parks, and along our streets and streams, helping to clean our air and water. Through NeighborWoods, KIB will plant 100,000 trees in Indianapolis. KIB is responsible for maintaining (mulching and watering) trees it plants for 2 years following the planting.
Fill out this form to give the gift of a tree, and learn more about our Legacy Tree program!
