Ice Miller Attorneys and Staff Plant Trees and Beautify with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful for Day of Service Tomorrow
INDIANAPOLIS – (October 4, 2018) Washington Park will receive new trees and beautification on Friday, October 5, with the help of 300 Ice Miller attorneys and staff during the firm’s annual Day of Service event with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB).
In coordination with Indy Parks, morning volunteers will to restore the habitat of small area on the park’s north side to further develop the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Bike Skills Course, and replace lost tree canopy. Afternoon beautification projects will include refreshing paint in the family center, mulching a well-loved playground, and a larger invasive plant removal on the park’s west side. Vibrant community greenspaces, like this 128-acre city park and former Indianapolis Zoo grounds, increase neighborhood connectivity and opportunity to spend time outside!
In addition to the time of the Ice Miller volunteers, the Ice Miller Foundation will make a monetary donation to KIB, so it can continue its valuable work around the city.
