Every year we spend a night celebrating the Keep Indianapolis Beautiful volunteers, donors, and partners that have made outstanding contributions to help people and nature thrive together in our city.

NEW IN 2019: COMMUNITY-NOMINATED APPRECIATION AWARDS
This year KIB is soliciting open nominations in five categories to recognize contributions by volunteers, donors, and community partners to help people and nature thrive in Indianapolis in 2018.
Nominations will be open online from Monday, January 7 to Friday, January 25. Three nominees will be selected as finalists in each category by an independent panel of community stakeholders and KIB staff members. One winner from each category will be awarded at the Appreciation Dinner & Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.

AWARD CATEGORIES
Cleaner Award
The Cleaner Award recognizes an organization, individual or project that demonstrates the positive impact of litter mitigation, community cleanup projects or a commitment to combating illegal dumping and promoting efforts to deter littering.
Greener Award
The Greener Award recognizes an organization, individual or project that has made outstanding contributions to making Indianapolis greener through planting native plants and trees, advocating for and protecting mature trees, and removing invasive species.
More Beautiful
The More Beautiful Award highlights an organization, individual or project that has added vibrancy to the local landscape through cultural or historical preservation, arts or murals, or placemaking. Nominations for this award should demonstrate improvements to the social wellbeing of community.
Community Builder
The Community Builder Award honors community leaders who have fostered collaborative effort between neighbors or businesses, exhibited leadership toward the stewardship of a public greenspace, and inspired civic engagement or inclusivity.
Youth Development
The Youth Development Award recognizes an organization, individual or project with outstanding contributions to learning opportunities with emphasis in the areas of environmental science, nature play, or opportunities that improve employment skills for youth and young adults.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Individuals, organizations, and projects who have volunteered with, donated to, or participated with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful during 2018.
All individuals, organizations, and projects seeking nomination must have been affiliated with a Keep Indianapolis Beautiful project or program during 2018, located within Marion County. This year we are soliciting nominations in 5 award categories with efforts that took place in 2018.
All nominations must be received via the nomination website by midnight, January 25, 2019.
WHO CAN NOMINATE?
ANYONE! Self-nominations are welcome.
LOOKING FOR OTHER WAYS TO HONOR YOUR NOMINEE?
You can also nominate groups of individuals, associations, or not-for-profit organizations (community development corporations, grassroots organizations) working in partnership with neighborhoods and neighbors for awards through the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC)!
