KIB coordinates customized days of service for your team year-round. Your investment will directly return to you in increased employee satisfaction, productivity, and engagement. This is a unique team-building opportunity for your employees and clients to make an impact in our city.
We love working with our corporate partners to create days of service that are meaningful and fun for your company, helping people and nature thrive in Indy. We provide the project, training, and tools; you provide the team and positive attitudes. This is a great opportunity for engaging your clients, employees, and their family members.
KIB staff are skilled and experienced in volunteer project management. Custom day(s) of service are typically hosted on weekdays, 9 a.m. to noon, and include tools, supplies, and water. As our partner, you can select from a variety of opportunities:
IPL Project GreenSpace: Help eliminate blight and revitalize public spaces to create greenspaces and pocket parks throughout Indy. 5 - 50 volunteers are typically needed.
KIB GreenKids: Work with local elementary schools to build outdoor classrooms to support environmental education. 5 - 20 volunteers are typically needed.
Community Forestry: Assist KIB as we plant nearly 3,000 trees during spring and fall months. 10 - 200 volunteers are typically needed.
Habitat Restoration: Remove invasive plants and trees along rivers and streams to open up views of the waterways and improve urban habitats. 25 - 100 volunteers are typically needed
Park Projects: Beautify Indianapolis public local parks by mulching playgrounds, painting benches and shelters, and planting native plants and trees. 15 - 50 volunteers are typically needed
We ask that as a Custom Day of Service partner, your company make a financial commitment. Sponsorship levels vary depending on group size. In addition to a high-impact day of service and team-building, your company will receive valuable brand recognition through a diverse stream of marketing and promotion channels, as well as invitations to KIB's annual Appreciation Dinner. We would love to design a special day of service customized specifically to meet your company goals!

Giveback Day: We love when you host donation or giveback nights (or days) and would love to chat more with you about how that works.
Leaf Winter Behind: This is our annual spring giveback campaign. Join us for Leaf Winter Behind, KIB’s spring initiative to promote a cleaner environment through partnerships with local businesses like yours. This is a fantastic way for you to show support for KIB's mission and encourage your customers to do the same.
Giving Tuesday: Designate KIB as your organization of choice for Giving Tuesday, which occurs on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
The Adopt-A-Block program energizes neighborhood volunteers to participate in community activities. Street by street, neighbors inspire each other by setting an example of environmental and community stewardship, dramatically improving their quality of life.
Keep your street litter-free and engage neighbors around your business by becoming an Adopt-A-Block Business. You will receive a cleanup toolkit, a decal to proudly display in your window, and promotion through KIB's social media!
Adopt-A-Block Business Annual Fee: $250 to support growing the Adopt-A-Block network for residents all over the city.

In an effort to engage a large percentage of their employees in a major beautification project, Eli Lilly & Company has partnered with KIB to make a significant impact on the city of Indianapolis.
Since 2008, KIB has been the lead nonprofit partner in Lilly's citywide day of service. The goal is a team-oriented activity that gives employees a greater sense of pride and involvement in their community.
