FAQ: What does KIB staff do during the winter?

ANSWER: Put on a coat! Safety of our volunteers and staff is one of KIB’s highest priorities. We regularly brush up on our safety skills with CPR, First Aid, Vehicle Safety and Tool Safety training days. We got lots of practice safely operating chainsaws while simultaneously clearing trees that had fallen across the nature trail located at KIB Club School: Skiles Test Elementary! Here’s a quick video of some of our staff completing the skills portion of our Chainsaw Safety Training—and for the record it was 16 degrees.
