Watering Alert: Week of June 18, 2013

NORMAL: Watering this week is optional.

Most of Indy received the recommended 1-inch of rainfall, so this week watering is optional. But as temperatures are projected to rise this week, it’s vital that you still keep a close eye on your trees. In order to thrive, they need 15 gallons of water per week — especially young trees that are less than 5 years old.

With little precipitation in the forecast, also look for drier, hotter days when your trees will need a little extra love and attention!

Tweet @kibiorg with the hashtag #thirstytrees or send us a message on Facebook to let us know how your watering efforts are going. Take the KIB Watering Pledge, and help us water Indy’s trees!
