Watering Alert: Week of July 2, 2013

NORMAL: Indianapolis received plenty of rain this week therefore watering is optional.

Indianapolis received the recommended 1-inch of rainfall this week so watering is optional. Your thirsty trees finally received the water they’ve been begging for! In order to thrive, trees need 15 gallons of water per week — especially young trees that are less than 5 years old.

The fourth of July weekend forecast is projected to be mostly sunny with a few scattered thunderstorms, with rain continuing into next week. We are looking at another great week for your lovely trees!

Tweet @kibiorg with the hashtag #thirstytrees or send us a message on Facebook to let us know how your watering efforts are going. Take the KIB Watering Pledge, and help us water Indy’s trees!
