Indy Tree Keepers
If you love trees, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful needs help
planting, watering, mulching and pruning trees as a part
of our NeighborWoods program.
Sign-up to receive regular updates on tree planting
opportunities, educational events and related information. We will be
planting and/or performing tree preservation activities every weekend from
late March – mid November, and we need your help!

NeighborWoods Community
Coordinator
To successfully raise the urban forest canopy in
Indianapolis, we need the help of neighborhood residents to spearhead tree
planting efforts in their communities. Keep Indianapolis Beautiful will help
equip you with the tools and training to successfully implement community
tree plantings, and we need your help in achieving community buy-in and
long-term maintenance of the trees planted.

Commitment: 15 – 30 hours of organizing the project, 3 - 4 hours of planting
on the project day.
Recycling Enthusiasts
Are you interested in becoming more involved in
recycling
activities in Indianapolis? Contact Tammy Stevens, our recycling

Adopt-A-Block
We are looking for individuals who want to volunteer on their
own block to keep it free of litter and debris on an ongoing basis, and who
seek to further beautification efforts on their block and in their
neighborhood. Click here

Adopt-A-Median
Keep Indianapolis Beautiful seeks individuals, companies
or non-profits to adopt and beautify one of the hundreds of medians in
Indianapolis! Click

Office Assistance
We are need volunteers who prefer indoor work as well!
Commitment: at least 3 hours per week
Internship
Keep Indianapolis Beautiful has an internship program
geared toward college age and post graduate students. But you do not have to
be enrolled in school to get involved!

Commitment: 10 – 25 hours per week, 3 – 6 months
Landscape Architect Designs
Keep Indianapolis Beautiful collaborates with
neighborhoods, community centers, non-profits, faith-based organizations and
schools to transform their physical environment into places of beauty and
community pride. Use your skills as a registered MLA or graduate student to
help design pocket parks and outdoor classrooms for the community’s benefit!
Commitment: At least 4 hours work on one project.
Photographers
If you have experience in photography and would like to
use this experience to serve Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, consider being the
official photographer at one of our events.
Commitment: At least 2 projects per year, 3-4 hours per project.
Specialty Skills
Let us know if you have special skills that you think
would benefit KIB! We are always seeking creative ways of getting people
involved in our projects!
