Upland Brewers and Restaurateurs
What part of town do you live in?
Our Indianapolis Tasting Room is located South Broad Ripple on the corner of 49th and College. We also have a Propaganda Room in the Murphy Arts Center in Fountain Square, where we host a First Friday party every first Friday. We’re opening up a Carmel location in mid-March and our brewery and Tap Room are located in Bloomington, IN.
What do you like about it?
All these areas are rich in art, culture and history. Our Indy Tasting Room has a coffee shop kinda vibe only with beer. We really love all of the folks that come in and out.
Where do you like to spend time outdoors? Why?
We love riding bikes around town and really enjoy trail running at Eagle Creek. We like to get down to the Lawn at White River State Park to catch all the bands in the summertime. You can also grab one of our brews there too!
What places in Indianapolis inspire you?
We love walking, running, and riding on Monon Trail, especially in the fall, along with the downtown and Mass Ave areas. Walking around the newly renovated Fountain Square District and seeing all the changes have also been exciting and inspirational for us. The Do317 lounge has given us the opportunity to meet many amazing local and national acts in an intimate setting.
Why do you support KIB?
We support KIB because we’re in alignment with its mission of creating beauty and creating vibrant public places where people can spend time and communities can thrive. As a brewing company, we love gather friends and family together and having a great place to spend time in. KIB is truly keeping Indianapolis beautiful, and we’re excited to be a part of it.
If were describing KIB to a friend, what three words would you use?
Restoration, Community, Beauty
What else are you involved in within the community?
We try to involve ourselves in as many cool groups in the community as possible. We’ve worked with Indy Cog, KIB, PUP, Girls Rock Indianapolis and many more local artists and bands. We really enjoy teaming up with our community.
