Mark has been with KIB since 2007 and is Vice President of Special Initiatives. His primary role is overseeing various contracts that support the mission of KIB and supporting the expanding Community Forestry program. Mark will also plan and execute service projects with diverse corporate partners such as the Lilly Day of Service, where KIB coordinates projects for over 8,000 Lilly employees in the community. All of these projects come from the neighborhood level which is a great connection both groups. In addition, Mark works on other projects with our partners at the City of Indianapolis. It is great to be able to tackle new projects and figure out how to get them done in a manner that looks great and is sustainable for the future. KIB continues to offer that challenge and have a hand in creating some great spaces in Indianapolis.
The projects we have accomplished through the Lilly Day of Service with Ivy Tech along Fall Creek. The removal of huge amounts of honeysuckle has opened up the views to the waterway which haven’t been this clear in many decades. The addition of plant material connections Ivy Tech’s campus to the waterway and Barton Park is going to be amazing at it matures.
Get it done!
