ST VINCENT DE PAUL
In 2007, KIB helped volunteers build a pocket park in front of the SVDP facility to act as a quiet area for clients to sit and gather their thoughts while waiting for the facility to open. It included a long sitting wall, a shade arbor, and trees, shrubs, flowers, and over 1200 daffodil bulbs, to create a welcoming area near the front door.

In 2008 and 2009, we created / finished a multi-terraced vegetable garden for volunteers and clients to grow their own vegetables. Clients will be offered a plot for their family, and outside volunteers will be growing fresh vegetables to be given to clients who cannot grow their own. Site work included building a small bridge across a drainage ditch, and grading the hill and properly building retaining walls for the terraces.
