What part of town do you live in?
What do you like about it?
It is quiet and peaceful, with our fair share of wildlife. It is close to amenities but smartly hidden from street and foot traffic.
What places in Indianapolis inspire you?
We love the restorations at the Indiana Repertory Theatre and Hilbert Circle Theatre. We have been excited to watch the growth of downtown Indianapolis over the past 36 years. We enjoy The 100 Acres at the Indianapolis Museum of Art as well as the renewal of life on and near the Monon Trail. We have volunteered our time in the community, spending endless days at The Children’s Museum, working with the Indianapolis Jewish Community Center, and being a responsible and positive influence in our neighbors’ lives.
Why do you support KIB?
We love the idea that getting neighborhoods involved in greenery encourages stronger, healthier lives, cleaner and safer neighborhoods, and more educated choices for many people who need it. KIB does a great deal of good for our community. We wanted to show our support to the organizations that make an impact in our society.
We were invited for a visit at the KIB headquarters and were taken with the green building, the staff, and the mission of the KIB.
If were describing KIB to a friend, what three words would you use?
Improvement, Success, Friendly
What else are you involved in within the community?
In 2011, we contributed to organizations across the country. Locally we have helped Riley Children’s Hospital, the Indiana Recycling Coalition, The Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, and the Indiana Historical Society, to name a few.
As a philanthropic foundation dedicated to Judaism, Education Scientific Research and Development, Environmental Concerns, Community Outreach, Small Business Development, Public Radio/TV, and Women’s Issues RTBCF is just getting started.
Since we learned about KIB we keep seeing your work around the city, and are proud to help contribute to an organization dedicated to making a better environment in Indianapolis. We’re glad we are able to support your efforts and will continue to spread the word to our friends!
