Tell us a little about yourself.
I am originally from Fort Wayne but have lived in Indianapolis for the last 8 years. I am a 2006 graduate of Butler University and work for Western & Southern Financial Group helping people plan for retirement.
Why did you first support SOLAR?
I first heard about SOLAR from Matt McIntyre. It sounded like a great opportunity to get involved and meet other like-minded people in Indianapolis. I'm excited to be a part of SOLAR!
Do you have a favorite KIB experience or memory?
Being new to SOLAR my only experience thus far was at the "Winterizing your Home" event at Kyle Hardie's house. I learned a lot at that event and am looking forward to volunteering with KIB in the spring.
What keeps you involved?
I enjoy working with my hands, something I don't do in my day job, which is why I am excited to volunteer as the weather warms up. I also like learning new things about the environment, and am looking forward to doing just that through SOLAR.
Do you have a favorite place in the city?
I live downtown and enjoy running along the canal and White River. It's a very nice area of the city. I also like the variety of locally-owned restaurants that we have around the city.
