    About this Club

Led by physics teacher Matt Rund, the Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School KIB Club has roughly 20 members.  They meet on a weekly basis to discuss a variety of environmental topics and to plan what next they would like to see on their campus.  A few areas of focus for the club include implementing a recycling program at the school, planting more trees around the campus and initiating a litter prevention campaign.  The club has also participated in KIB’s Great Indy Cleanup

    Vision for the Campus

This KIB Club has been hard at work creating a green space, officially named “Tiger’s Corner,” on the southeast quadrant of their campus.  They have planted 22 native trees, laid a walking path throughout the space and built raised garden beds as well as planter benches that are now all full of native plants!

  • Special Thanks

Johnson Controls has been an enormous help to the school over the past two years, helping to plant trees, build the native plant garden, and construct planter benches.

Special Thanks to the Verizon Foundation for its multi-year support of the KIB Club at Crispus Attucks High. Grant funds have supported tree planting at the school, and a model energy conservation project with the high school students.
