In an effort to engage a large percentage of their employees in a major beautification project, Eli Lilly and Company has formed a partnership with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to make a major impact on the city of Indianapolis.

In the first year, Lilly expects to engage more than 8,000 volunteers in service.  This date coincides with the company’s founding, which was May 10, 1876 and will celebrate their 132nd birthday.  Their goal is a team-oriented activity that makes a mark on the city of Indianapolis and gives their employees a greater sense of pride and engagement in their community.

Mural #1 Madison Avenue north of Manual High School
Mural Inspiration:  The butterflies flow from the center of a young person's mind and turn into various portraits that lead from childhood to adulthood and finally to some well known Indianapolis figures. This mural depicts the power of ideas, and how dedication to learning leads to success in life.
Mural #2 Madison Avenue north of Raymond Street
Mural Inspiration:  Starting from the Indianapolis skyline, this mural depicts city children, adults, and families all active, enjoying life, and living healthfully—taking walks, flying kites, swinging on swing sets and riding bikes.
Mural #3 Madison Avenue northern wall east side.
Mural Inspiration:
This mural celebrates music, as youth listen, play and dance to their own beat! This mural illustrates the joy we find in music, and more broadly, to how music and the arts contribute to a thriving and interesting city!
Mural #4 Monon Trail
Mural Inspirations:

Sections A & B - This mural depicts people of all ages walking, skating, biking and enjoying a variety of activities along the Monon Trail.

Section C - A garden of huge flowers blooms under a rainbow sky to remind us of nature and the beauty it holds, with butterflies symbolizing the promise of regeneration as each new season unfolds.

Section D - Under a cloud dotted sky, trellises support crops and flowers in home and community gardens. Gardening and produce unite humankind through the ages, nurturing our bodies, and providing exercise and relaxation to all people of all ages in rural and urban environments.

 Thanks!
