Nearly 110,000th daffodils now blooming in Indianapolis!
Indianapolis, IN / April 2, 2007- Nearly 110,000 daffodils are now
blooming around Indianapolis as part of the Daffodils! program, a Keep
Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. annual initiative to plant thousands of
daffodil bulbs in prominent locations such as gateways and major city
thoroughfares.
Drive by the mass plantings of thousands of daffodils now in bloom at these
locations:
South-facing slope of the North split of the I-65/I-70
downtown connector (skyline view in background)
7100-7500 blocks of Binford Boulevard
South split of the I-65/I-70 downtown connector
Kentucky Avenue between Hanna and Lynhurst Roads
Massachusetts Avenue Arts District
I-465 just north of 86th Street on the Northwest side of Indy
KIB also provides daffodil bulbs to neighborhood groups, Indy
Greenways, Indianapolis Public Schools and many Adopt-a-Median partners each
year.
Started in 2002, this annual planting has become a “growing” asset to the
city--greeting thousands of residents and visitors each spring with a
blanket of welcoming blooms.

donors.
