POCKET PARKS AND GREENSPACE: GET INVOLVED
There are multiple ways YOU can help the KIB Pocket Park Program grow:
Volunteer. This link will take you to our volunteer page which lists our Pocket Park, NeighborWoods tree planting, GreenSpace, GreenSchools, and other volunteer projects.
Donate materials to help build a park. We are always in need of lumber, benches, picnic tables, pavers, bricks, stone, fencing, and other landscaping materials for building our parks. We also welcome donations of perennials for Pocket Parks, GreenSpace, and GreenSchools projects. Please contact Phil Schaefer at pschaefer@kibi.org or call 317-264-7555x109 to see if we can use what you have to donate.
Donate dollars to a current project. Every project has unexpected or miscellaneous expenses. We appreciate unrestricted donations towards the pocket park program that help cover those. Or, if you see a park project listed on our volunteer page that intrigues you, you may donate to that specific park.
Donate dollars to our pocket park endowment at CICF. Give the gift of long term support for the program. Our pocket park endowment at CICF for the program is invested and grows. Your donation to this endowment will help us maintain and grow the pocket park program over time.
