Keep Indianapolis Beautiful Announces 2012 Workshop Series

INDIANAPOLIS – (February 1, 2012) Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) has announced the lineup for its monthly workshop series.

Held at the KIB headquarters, 1029 Fletcher Ave., the monthly workshop series features hands on learning opportunities and varied topics to appeal to many Indianapolis residents. Pre-registration and a $10 registration fee is required to attend—SOLAR, Adopt-A-Block, and KIB green team member will receive a discount. Visit www.kibi.org/workshop to sign up or learn more.

On February 23, KIB will host: Vermicomposting at Home. This demo will be led by Keith O'Dell, owner of Castaway Compost. Participants will learn to turn trash to treasure using red worms. Fruit and veggie waste, pizza boxes, old phonebooks and junk mail will be transformed into nutrient-rich worm compost.
