Efroymson Family Fund awards $40,000 grant to KIB for community greening

November 17, 2011

INDIANAPOLIS - (November 17, 2011) Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) announced today that the Efroymson Family Fund, a CICF Fund, has awarded KIB a $40,000 grant for beautification efforts, targeted outreach programming in neighborhoods and schools and promotion of green initiatives and activities.

KIB will use the grant to support partnerships with neighborhood-based organizations to help eliminate blight and revitalize neighborhoods and public spaces, and to continue programming within schools and youth-serving organizations.

“Through this generous grant from the Efroymson Family Fund, KIB will able to reach more youth through our Youth Tree Team program, more students through our KIB Clubs initiative, and more neighbors through our greenspace and litter cleanup programs,” said David Forsell, president of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.

Currently, KIB has a number of programs that engage citizens in community beautification, and environmental improvement, to strengthen our neighborhoods. For more information on KIB’s community greening projects, please visit www.kibi.org.
