12 local economic and community development organizations received an early holiday present – funding from the REALTOR Community Investment Initiative (RCII.) In its fifth giving cycle, RCII--a community-building initiative of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS, MIBOR)--funneled another $100,000 into local communities across central Indiana, bringing its total regional investment since its inception to $460,000.

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. is making plans for 20 community projects receiving its support in 2010 through the IPL Project GreenSpace Program.

The Evansville-based Vectren Foundation has awarded Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) with a $5,000 grant in support of its NeighborWoods program.

The Environmental Resources Management (ERM) Foundation of North America has awarded Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) a $5,000 grant in support of its Project Green Schools program. The money will go toward the 2010 creation of an outdoor "classroom" at Jonathan Jennings Elementary School (IPS #109), located on the west side of Indianapolis, near West 38th Street and High School Road.
