KEEP INDIANAPOLIS BEAUTIFUL AND AT&T REAL YELLOW PAGES KICK OFF SCHOOL RECYCLING CHALLENGE

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful announced today that Ice Miller LLP will serve as the title sponsor of the 32nd annual A Monumental Affair, an awards dinner and presentation celebrating the greatest achievements in local construction, design, architecture and community development.

If the shortage of recycling locations to drop off your outdated telephone directories has hindered you from joining the thousands who have already gone green, now is your chance to join the team and help improve the environment.

With a proclamation from Indianapolis Mayor Gregory Ballard making it official, Neighbor Week on Oct. 12-17 will be filled with community events that bring neighbors together to improve their lives and make the city a better place to live, work and play. Neighbor Week’s events include the free release of a new book about the Eastside and the launch of AmeriCorps Public Allies Indianapolis— and much more.

Working with Fiserv to encourage e-billing, KIB was awarded a $3,000 grant from the technology company.

Entries for the best of Indianapolis design, development, construction, engineering, public art and innovative reuse are due Friday, October 2 by 5:00 p.m. to Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, 1029 E. Fletcher Ave.
