Tell us a little about yourself.
I am lucky to have two jobs that I love: Ivy Tech Community College adjunct faculty and corrections educator. That’s right, that’s a nice way of saying I teach in a jail! I spend the rest of my time spoiling our two dogs, Blake and Pearl.
Why did you first support SOLAR?
I had always heard of KIB, but never knew how to get involved. My husband and I joined SOLAR after learning about it from a KIB employee at the opening of the new building last year.
Do you have a favorite KIB experience or memory?
We helped with a tree planting near our house on the NE Side with our little sister through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana.
What keeps you involved?
Being a SOLAR Panel member and participating in awesome events, like touring the IMA 100 Acres and networking with other like-minded young professionals.
Do you have a favorite place in the city?
I love Holliday Park because my husband proposed to me there! I also love lots of the great restaurants like R Bistro, Capri and Huddles Frozen Yogurt.
