MA CONSTRUCTION

MA Construction: Entry Requirements and Judging Criteria

Sanctioning Organizations

Indiana Construction Roundtable (ICR)

Entry Requirements

Submissions must illustrate the unique challenges of the project specific to the construction delivery process. Such elements could include challenges as to the project location, logistical challenges, complexities introduced by the owner (aggressive timing, diversity requirements, phasing relative to occupancy, unique budget constraints, etc.) and the team’s resolution of these, other schedule challenges, characteristics that introduce unique complexity, safety record (include supportive statistics), innovative problem solving, or design characteristics that add significant complexity. Additional issues presented could include construction requirements attributable to achieving sustainability and the project’s contribution to the surrounding community. Please note that all other requirements as noted in the entry instructions also apply.

Judging Criteria

ICR recognizes excellence in construction. Projects are judged on merit regardless of size. Projects will be graded heavily for the following attributes in the Construction Category:
• Unique construction complexity and scope of work
• Application of unique construction techniques and technology
• Schedule achievements by the construction delivery team
• Safety
• Inclusion of green and sustainability; during construction and complexities of integration
• Project’s significance to the community
