What neighborhood do you live in? South Broad Ripple

What is the most inspiring place in Indianapolis?  I love the new Mari Evans mural on Mass Ave. She is such a legendary figure in Indianapolis. (Laura)

Eagle Creek Reservoir. I love water, and love green spaces.  I’m really glad that Indy has a park with access to both. (Reid)

How long have you supported Keep Indianapolis Beautiful? One year, we just moved to Indiana a couple of years ago.

Why do you support KIB? I am (Laura is) a mentor for a high school student through the Starfish program. She is on the KIB youth tree team and absolutely loves it!! This summer her sister will also be doing it. It sounds like a really neat program to get students outside, working, and making their community a nicer place to live. We hope the program continues to thrive!

What impact do you feel that the work with KIB has on the community? It reminds us that we are a community and are in a place where we want to live. We all want to live in a clean beautiful friendly neighborhood.

What else are you involved in within the community?

I am a mentor through the Starfish Initiative program. (Laura)

I run an annual security conference in town, focused on education and research in information security – and free for students to come and learn. (Reid)

Why would you encourage others to support KIB? Supporting KIB not only makes our community beautiful, but they also teach the next generation how to care for their neighborhoods and make it a place where we all want to live. What more could you ask for?!
