KYLE HARDIE
SOLAR Member Spotlight
Tell us a little about yourself.
I grew up in a small neighborhood in Kokomo surrounded by corn fields, great sunsets during harvest, and no light pollution (I could see the stars!). My family did not encourage recycling growing up, but encouraged us to be resourceful and not wasteful. I guess that is what you have to do when you are a quadruplet (yes, 4 of us at once) with an older sister. I am a graduate architect for MSKTD, and I specialize in the healthcare market. Go Ball State! Chirp, chirp!
I have a beautiful wife, Kandyce, of 5 years, and a soon-to-be 1-year old son, Emerson Blaine. We live with our dog, Gretta, in Broad Ripple.
Why did you first support SOLAR?
Like minded people with a passion for a sense of community!
Do you have a favorite KIB experience or memory?
My favorite KIB experience will be the upcoming SOLAR Spectacular on Saturday, June 18th at The Oaks Academy. The memory will be a little (BIG) competition of my team is better than your team affair. Yes, that is right... you and your three best friends take on challenges of minefields, sling shots, and more.
What keeps you involved?
Knowing that if you do just a little more, someone else will benefit. Ultimately, I benefit too.
Do you have a favorite place in the city?
My favorite places in the city are Coffin's 5th Hole overlooking the White River, a tandem bike ride on the Wapahani Trail (Tow Path), and laying in the hammock with my family under our rose bud tree.
