INDIANAPOLIS – (March 14, 2012) Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) announced today that they have been awarded a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest and most-utilized independent evaluator of charities.
High marks are given to nonprofits based on a myriad of factors; including financial performance, accountability and transparency performance metrics. Among like-minded organizations, KIB ranks highest—using more than 80 percent of its $3 million budget on program expenses. Nationally, only 5 percent of nonprofits measured by Charity Navigator receive this distinction.
This honor marks the sixth year KIB has been recognized. “To receive a 4-star rating as a nonprofit is extremely important for our funders, project partners, and most importantly our community. To receive this honor continuously speaks to our dedication to our mission to create a more connected and beautiful Indianapolis,” said David Forsell, president of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.
