KIB ranks amongst Top 50 at #12 in United States
INDIANAPOLIS, April 7, 2010 – Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) was recently named as one of the Best NonProfit Organizations to Work For for 2010. The annual list of the “Best NonProfits” was created by The NonProfit Times and Best Companies Group.
This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the NonProfit sector, benefiting the nation’s economy, its workforce and businesses. The 2010 Best NonProfit Organizations to Work For list is made up of 50 organizations. The complete list – along with profiles of each organization’s benefits package and corporate policies – is published in The NonProfit Times’ April 2010 issue.
“We are so proud of this honor,” says David Forsell, President of KIB. “The KIB team is bright, talented, engaging, and authentically passionate about the mission, and our outcomes. I think our keys to success are multi-dimensional. We welcome change and progress; we’re entrepreneurial, but that freedom is within the framework of rigorous analysis. We trust and respect our teammates. We take the work seriously, but we have a lot of fun doing it. And who doesn’t want to improve their community? It’s motivating to work thousands of volunteers who share this passion.”
To be considered for participation, organizations had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Have a facility in the United States
- Have a minimum of 15 employees working in the United States
- Must be in business a minimum of 1 year
- Must be a nonprofit organization with 501 (c) 3 status
Organizations from across the country entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best NonProfit Organizations to Work For. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated organization’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Combined scores determined the top organizations and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
