Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, City of Indianapolis to host October Great Indy Cleanup this Saturday

INDIANAPOLIS – (October 16, 2012) Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. (KIB) will be working with two eastside communities this on numerous beautification and community improvement projects, with hundreds of Indy residents to wrap up the Great Indy Cleanup season this Saturday. The citywide effort to beautify and strengthen our community is a partnership with KIB and the City of Indianapolis—already nearly 1,000 tons of litter has been collected this year. Mayor Ballard with kickoff two events this Saturday: 8:30AM with the Irvington Terrace Neighborhood in the Irvington Plaza (6400 E Washington St) and 9:00AM with the Englewood Neighborhood at the Commonwealth ( 57 N Rural Street). More than 300 volunteers will be in attendance.
