JOHN DAVIDSON
SOLAR Member Spotlight
Tell us about yourself:
I am a proud husband and father who loves being outdoors. I work as a fundraiser and commercial banker for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and as a liaison to the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, Dept. of Energy, and the Environmental Protection Agency. The best part of my work is working with people to change
their communities.
Why did you first support SOLAR?
Linda Broadfoot encouraged me to join as I have been an active volunteer, donor, and advocate for KIB.
What is my favorite KIB experience or memory?
I was working on a neighborwoods project and I watched several youth team members plant a tree for an elderly woman in our neighborhood. She had lost an elm tree to a storm the year before, and she was so excited to have two new elms planted in her yard. It was so encouraging to see the joy in her face and it made me realize the impact of KIB's programs in strengthening communities.
What keeps you involved?
My passion for the environment and KIB's mission.
My favorite place in the city?
The children's fountain at University Park, which is surrounded by a great green space and several large trees in downtown Indy.
