Description: After the RCA Dome was demolished, there was the question of what to actually do with the dome material. After much thought, it became clear: we reuse it. Although it has been a time-consuming and laborious project, it has also been one well worth it, especially for the JCC. In their playground area, there is a wooden structure erected above the sandbox. The problem was that there was no roof atop it and the sand got too hot for the kids to play in. With the help of 10 Key Learning Community students, we cleaned, cut and installed a roof made out of the dome material to provide as a shade structure.
