HeArt for a Cause is an IDADA FIrst Friday event featuring collaborative artwork created in honor of 10 local non-profits who we think are doing amazing things for the city of Indianapolis. This art show provides opportunities for Outside the Box to build relationships with local non-profits and give back to our community in a creative way.
Each of the groups that attend Outside the Box’s day program selected a non-profit that was dear to their hearts, then collaborated with our Studio OTB art program to create 10 amazing pieces of work that embody the values of each of the causes. KIB was one of the first choices and has been for the past three years. Our groups chose KIB because of their dedication to making the city of Indianapolis the best it can be. Outside the Box and KIB are similar in that we both strive to empower others. What better way to do that than through art and nature!
Outside The Box Inc.’s mission is to empower people with intellectual disabilities toward personal growth, through education, self-discovery, leadership development and a customized career path.
Studio OTB is a community arts program at Outside the Box. Our studio is a place for all individuals to express, develop artistic skills, & discover new personal interests. We support collaborations between artists with and without developmental disabilities, and have an emphasis on art education & eco-friendly creativity. We host art parties and specialize in custom commissions that can be ordered throughout the year.
We are so thankful to KIB for letting Outside the Box be a part of KIB’s mission and their continued efforts to improve our city!
