Great Indy Cleanup - 2010

The 2010 Great Indy Cleanup season will begin April 17th the October 31st. Communities can schedule a community cleanup any weekend after April 17th, through the end of October, 2010. Please check back beginning March 1st to schedule your community cleanup!

New 2009 Great Indy Cleanup Programs A Big Success!

Every Litter Bit Helps

On Saturday, April 25th, 2009 Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, in partnership with the City of Indianapolis, South Side Landfill, Covanta Energy and Republic Services, held the Every Litter Bit Helps event to kick-off this year's Great Indy Cleanup. KIB would like to thank our Distribution Partners, who made the campaign possible. Interested volunteers were able to sign up and receive their custom trash bag and a pair of gloves at all Marion County Papa John's restaurant locations, all Marion County YMCA locations and all Indianapolis/Marion County Public Library locations.

Great Indy Butt Out

In 2009 Keep Indianapolis Beautiful announced the first-ever Great Indy Butt Out – a contest that gives high school students a chance to make a difference in their community by collecting cigarette litter. Cardinal Ritter High School and Herron High School were the winners and joined 4 other schools to collect 106 pounds of butts!
