Tell us a little about yourself.
I am an Indy native and grew up in Zionsville and Carmel. After spending 5 years post-college in St. Louis, my husband David and I moved back to Zionsville. Almost 4 years ago we had our daughter, Sydney, and about 6 months ago added to our brood with her cool little brother, Leo. I recently started a fantastic new job at the Community Foundation of Boone County as Director of Community Relations. David is an acupuncturist in Carmel, specializing in fertility and pregnancy wellness.

Why did you first support SOLAR?
I love the idea of a YP group that supports the beautification and greening of our city. There is a great energy around SOLAR and its members and I was so happy to be a part of it from the very beginning. It was an honor to be a founding SOLAR Panel member and I’m so proud of how far the group has come!

Do you have a favorite KIB experience or memory?
My favorite experience with KIB was definitely serving on the SOLAR panel. What a fantastic group of people – I was fortunate to work with them, staff and board to advance the amazing work KIB is doing.

What keeps you involved?
Having children really puts things in perspective for you, and makes you want to leave the world a better place for them. KIB is such an important organization, doing great work to ensure that it happens.

Do you have a favorite place in the city?
I absolutely love the canal, especially at night. I think it’s so peaceful and magical when it’s all lit up.
