Castlewood Neighborhood Tree Planting

Join KIB and the Castlewood Association of Neighbors in planting an assortment of 20 trees that will replace ash trees killed by the emerald ash borer in their neighborhood. ABATe Tree Planting II

Please join Herron Morton Place neighbors, Fall Creek Place neighbors, and KIB as we work to replace trees killed by the emerald ash borer and restore a significant portion of the Indianapolis urban tree canopy. Light of the World Orchard Planting

Please join KIB and community members in planting 20 fruit trees in the Light of the World Church Garden. The produce from these trees will be given to senior citizens and transitional houses for men and women. Volunteers will prepare trees to be planted, dig holes and move mulch. Bill Brink Memorial Garden Perennial Beds

Please join KIB staff and volunteers in creating mulched beds between the Monon Trail and Cornell Avenue from 65th to 67th Streets. Once complete, these sunny beds will be home to many native perennials. Cardinal Cove Neighborhood Tree Planting

CSO 33 Storm Water Diversion Tree Planting

Volunteers will plant 50 beautiful street trees along Luett Avenue from Walnut Street to 10th Street. This project is part of a larger, ongoing project with Citizens Energy Group in the area around CSO 33 to divert storm water from sewer lines that would otherwise cause overflow into our waterways. KIB needs help keeping the native landscape tidy at our Gold LEED-certified headquarters. Volunteers will be weeding, mulching, watering, and taking care of general landscape work.
