EDUCATION AND YOUTH INITIATIVES
Keep Indianapolis Beautiful is committed to empowering youth and encouraging them to make a difference in the their world. We offer many programs that are family friendly, but two programs are just for youth!
KIB Clubs
In partnership with Purdue Extension-Marion County, KIB Clubs (formerly Project Green Schools) provides 'hands-on' opportunities for students in tree plantings, creating wildlife habitats and gardens, litter abatement, recycling, and other environmental projects. KIB encourages youth to explore and understand challenges in the urban environment and to learn how to care for and improve their community. Schools are selected to participate in the program through the KIB Clubs application process.

Youth Tree Team
The Youth Tree Team is a nine-week summer program. Participants will receive a free lunch each work day, and will earn $8.00 per hour for their work! The Youth Tree Team members will work 20 hours a week as a team to preserve and maintain trees. The team will be working outdoors to water, mulch, prune, stake, and plant trees. Youth Tree Team applicants must currently be enrolled in high school to participate.
