Description:  As a Lilly Day of Service project as well as a Boy Scout’s Eagle candidacy project, this church was soon transformed into a vegetable gardener’s dream.  Raised beds were added throughout the property.  Corn and vining plants are on the west side of the church, herbs, fruits and veggies are on the south side and decorative flower beds are on the east side.  Kids that attend after school day care and summer camp will take care of the plants and will also learn about urban gardening and how it can be done around their own home.
