I am a Customer Service Representative at the Indianapolis Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center.

What part of town do you live in? What do you like about it?
I live in Beech Grove, IN. I like how quiet the area is. It is a very diverse area that offers convenience and accessibility to various shopping centers. It is also only 15 minutes away from the downtown Indianapolis area.

Where do you like to spend time outdoors? Why?
I like sitting on my balcony when it is warm outside. There is a nice pond with a fountain outside that attracts a lot of ducks and geese. I also love walking on the canal downtown. It is relaxing to take in fresh air after a hard day at work.

What places in Indianapolis inspire you?
The first place I ever volunteered at was the Hoosier Veterans and Families building in downtown Indianapolis. The people who work there are very dedicated to ensuring that veterans and their families are assisted in any way possible. It was so inspiring to help with different events and contribute to the HVAF mission.

Why do you support KIB?
KIB impressed me from day one. The impact that each community service event has throughout Indianapolis is phenomenal. Whether it is through tree care, recycling, or cleaning up the neighborhood, KIB exhibits excellent standards and pride in its mission and purpose. The faculty, staff, and volunteers are also some of the greatest and most generous people I have ever met!!

If were describing KIB to a friend, what three words would you use?
Dedicated, Hard-working, and Generous

What else are you involved in within the community?
I participate in various cause walks for Breast Cancer, Diabetes, Alzheimers, and AIDS throughout the year. I also occasionally volunteer with the HVAF and Mary Rigg Community Center.

I am truly honored and grateful to be a part of KIB. It is a great feeling to serve as a volunteer and KIB Ambassador!! Every event has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people. Every experience has been memorable and rewarding. I look forward to many more years of working and volunteering in any way possible. GO GREEN!!!
