CFI #384

Description: For a school that has undergone a tremendous amount of construction and rehabilitation, CFI #384 was due for a grounds makeover. For the last 3 years, the school has planted herb gardens, built garden boxes, transplanted native plants, grown vegetables, constructed pea trelisses, grown plants under grow lights and planted an annual garden. As a Lilly Day of Service project, we were able to complete phase one of CFI #384’s four-phase vision. This included edible landscape plantings, traditional vegetable garden plots with crushed gravel walks and mixed perennial plantings on a hillside along the school. We look forward to continue working with them this school to see them finish out their goal.
