Great Minds Think Alike

Submitted October 19, 2009 by Renee Sweany | 1 comment

I recently started working at Hoosier Environmental Council. Combine that with my roles as a board member of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and Indy Food Co-op, and my membership with Indiana Recycling Coalition, I feel like I've surrounded myself with great minds doing incredible things for the city.

There are many organizations in Indianapolis with an environmental message. If you're here reading this blog, then that probably means that you're interested in learning more about what KIB has to offer. I encourage you to find the organization(s) here in Indy that fit your passions and dig in. There's a lot of great work to be done. In the meantime, we'll be working hard at finding ways to engage the community even more to truly keep Indianapolis beautiful.

KIB has been a monumental source of help in my RMS10 Neighborhood. KIB has helped in building Pocket Parks in empty and useless vacant lots. KIB has helped us remove several tons of trash from our alleys and streets. KIB has helped us plant dozens of trees and hundreds of flowers with the programs that they offer. KIB has inspired several neighbors to make a positive change to a challenged community for a better quality of life for everyone. KIB is an organization that truly Keeps Indianapolis Beautiful.
