Beauty is a chance to be yourself

Beauty can manifest itself in many different ways. My favorite way to imagine beauty is to think of those that are able to figure out not only who they are and what they are good at but go even further to turn that into their life’s work. One of the greatest things about the human spirit is that we are all born, I believe, with certain traits and talents that we can share, making our small pieces of self into a larger and more vibrant community as a whole.
Any time I meet someone who is able to share and perform whatever talents they are naturally blessed with, they exude a certain joy and peace that is inspiring. I find that to be absolutely beautiful.
In that same respect, I find that kind of beauty not only present in Indianapolis, but welcomed and encouraged. I’m not just in love with the diverse and energetic city in which we live, but the opportunity it provides residents to find themselves and then make a living, or at the very least, give them a place to use their natural talents. Whether you like to garden, create new foods, play sports or are a musician, Indianapolis gives you an outlet to be yourself and the chance to exude the inherent beauty of living a life of purpose. And that chance is just a small part of what makes Indianapolis and its residents so very beautiful.
