All the Cool Kids Are Doing It

Submitted July 13, 2010 by Renee Sweany | 1 comment

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful has this knack for making places great, and their own neighborhood is no exception. Since moving to their new LEED Gold headquarters in Fountain Square, the historic neighborhood just keeps getting more and more cool. It's definitely worth a visit for lunch, dinner, First Friday, or a weekend stroll.

My fave spots other that Keep Indianapolis Beautiful so far are:

  • New Day Meadery (also my new employer) - stop in for a taste of honey wines made from all Indiana ingredients
  • Santorini Greek Kitchen - some of the best Greek food in town
  • People for Urban Progress - promoting public transit, environmental awareness and urban design
  • Calvin Fletcher's Coffee Company - had the best latte ever just this morning, and they donate their tips to social causes

Some places I can't wait to check out:

  • Pure, fresh honest food
  • Square Rootz Deli

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful has some wonderful neighbors in Fountain Square. You should come down for a visit sometime!

I'm going to put Pure on my list to get to this month and the Square Rootz Deli. I love the name!
