BELZER MIDDLE SCHOOL

Location: 7555 E. 56th St., Indianapolis, IN 46226

Description: Located right along 56th St. and just south of Lawrence Central High School, Belzer Middle School sees a lot of traffic and has a great campus for as many trees and plants as can be planted. As a Lilly Day of Service project and managed by an Eagle Scout candidate, this was one of the larger projects that was proposed this year. Although not everything was completed, they got off to a great start and it only means that we will be able to continue to help them in the future. The courtyard was completely renovated adding a pond, trees and perennials, a rain barrel for rain collection and a gravel walkway around the perimeter. There were also a number of trees and perennials planted around the front of the school to help with shade and provide beauty to the campus.
