Great Indy Neighborhoods Initiative
Great Indy Neighborhoods: The Great Indy Neighborhoods Initiative (GINI) is a set of initiatives established to support Indianapolis Neighborhoods in comprehensive community developement. Find out how your neighborhood can participate, and check out the below resources that GINI provides communities.
Neighborhood Resource Guide: This guide was created as a part of The Great Indy Neighborhoods Initiative, and is designed to help neighborhoods find resources and partners to bring about comprehensive neighborhood development. It is not meant to be a comprehensive guide to City or social services.
"How to Create a Great Indy Neighborhood" Guide: This is a step-by-step guide to creating and implementing a quality of life plan in your neighborhood.
Organizer's Workbook: This guide, from the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center, is a roadmap to discovering, organizing and engaging your neighborhood. It takes you through the steps of community buidling, from identifying assets to running effective meetings.
IMAGINE Matching Grant 2009: The Indianapolis Matching Awards for Great Indy Neighborhoods Engagement (IMAGINE) seeks to reinforce the strengths and assets within Indianapolis communities by providing financial resources for projects, events, and activities designed to increase neighborhood engagement. Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC)
Through facilitation, training and coaching, INRC strenghtens the capacity of neighborhood-based organizations and neighbors to mobilize existing assets, support grassroots leadership and foster collaboration. Mayor's Neighborhood Liaisons

Mayor's Action Center
