DONOR SPOTLIGHT: SEPTEMBER 2011

Tell us a little about yourself.
MSKTD & Associates is an architectural firm that specializes in designing healthcare, higher education and advanced manufacturing facilities. We love Indianapolis and enjoy being at the heart of the Meridian and 10th Street corridor. We’re especially proud of our employees Kyle Hardie and Sarah Savage that are actively involved in KIB’s young professional’s group SOLAR.

Why did you first support KIB?
Some of our employees have KIB roots that were established in the 1990’s. It was a natural progression for us to give back to the community and support an organization for which our staff had already developed an interest and passion.

Do you have a favorite KIB experience or memory?
The following are some specific KIB memories that our staff has:

• Unloading 100+ trees with a much younger David Forsell at St. Gabriel’s in 1999
• 2010 Monumental Affair
• Planting trees around our in the North Meridian Neighborhood (I-65 and Meridian) in 2008.

What keeps you involved?
KIB is a great organization that continues to foster beauty and renewal within Indianapolis. Projects are typically fast-tracked from design to construction. Because the volunteer base is large and enthusiastic, our time and financial contributions quickly become visible within the community. It is very rewarding and satisfying! Enthusiasm for KIB is VERY contagious!

Do you have a favorite place in the city?
The canal and memorial mall are always beautiful and easily accessed from our office. It’s always exciting to see new projects progress, such as the Cultural Trail, and work along the Monon Trail and Mass Ave Corridor.
