Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm a proud West-sider where I live with my husband, Ben, and our spunky Wheaten Terrier, Finnegan. I currently work in communications at the Indiana Senate and then work as an associate designer on the weekends for Lilly Lane, a floral and event planning business. I love gardening, cooking and checking out the many wonderful foodie destinations on our side of town.
Why did you first support SOLAR?
I love being a part of SOLAR because I get to mingle with others who care for our community and share ideas on how to make our little corner of the Earth a little bit more beautiful.
Do you have a favorite KIB experience or memory?
One of my favorite SOLAR events was our behind the scenes tour of Trader's Point Creamery. We took a walking tour of their operations, had a yogurt tasting, and then spent a very enjoyable evening dining with other SOLAR members at The Loft.
What keeps you involved?
Honestly, the great staff at KIB has a huge impact in motivating me to do my part. They establish a really wonderful relationship with their volunteers and make you happy to be a part of not only their beautification efforts, but the community in which we all live.
Do you have a favorite place in the city?
My favorite place to zen-out in Indy is the Oldfields Gardens at the IMA.
