2014 Youth Tree Team Challenge Day

The Youth Tree Team Challenge Day was a success this year with 145 teens showing up in the cold to show off their work ethic and enthusiasm during the first part of the application process.

Challenge Day is set up to give the students an idea of what we do on the Youth Tree Team on a daily basis. With 6 stations, participants test their ability to carry buckets of water, mulch, learn recycling rules and play some leadership games.

Not only do we look for the students who are trying hard and encouraging their peers, but we want the students to decide if this job is right for them. Carrying buckets of water in the 90 degree summer isn’t easy.

Here are some of our pictures from the excitement of Challenge Day 2014.
