2009 YTT SUMMARY
2009 Youth Tree Team Summary
Watering, mulching, staking, pruning: These are the activities of the high schoolers in the Youth Tree Team (YTT) program. The YTT program started with 10 employees in the summer of 2006. In 2009, thanks to the support of many donors, KIB hired 40 high schoolers and 10 adults to care for trees in Indianapolis. Each week, the 5 YTT crews watered over 2,000 trees. Additionally, each crew worked on financial literacy at a local bank, visited a college campus, met a landscape architect, scaled a climbing tower, and rafted on the White River.
2009 Statistics:
Trees Watered (Weekly): 2238
